The Store is Closed.

Sadly, the store is now closed.  It was hard to push the button to take it all down this morning but I know it's what I need to do right now. Thank you so much to all the loyal customers, blog followers and supporters of Torendi. I was always so thrilled when a new order would show up in my email box and over the top for international shoppers as well. Of course I couldn't have done it with out the help of all the amazing Torendi Design Team members!  Please go to their blogs and become followers if you haven't already.  It would be a shame for any of their talents to go unnoticed!

DT Round-up!

Time to see what the ultra hip Torendi DT has been up to this week!

Amy placed this adorable santa on top for some Sassafras Indie Girl Paper.  I love the way it made Santa's suit POP and of course the hearts are perfect, cause we all love Santa! 

Courtney put this card together using all scraps from other projects! WOW, I would have never known! She used so many Torendi items on this card...Sassafras Garden Bits, In A Stitch Blooms, Paper Whimsies and Washi Tape! 

Tiff is of course traveling across the country to her new home but I managed to steal this little sneak peek of her dirty dozen projects off her blog!  I spy some Little Three Pigs stamps in there!  Be sure to check out all the guest designers on Tiff's blog too!

Jenn (that's me!) had two cards to share this week.  The first card uses some plaid paper in the Pink Paislee Old School line and Sassafras Glitter Alphas.

This card is clean and simple, just having fun with some smokey washi tape!

DT Announcements!

I have been honored to work with Kelly, Beth and Tiffany for so many amazing months.  They have all been wonderful additions to the Torendi Team.  

Kelly has been so busy with Lawn Fawn (GO KELLY) that she stepped down from the team a month early.  We are so happy for her and her adorable stamp line.  If you haven't seen them, you should check them out for sure! We will miss your fabulous style Kelly.

Beth will still be a Torendi girl until October, WOO HOO!  She has such an amazing way with paper, it is no wonder she has been picked up for so many more design teams! We wish Beth the best of luck in all her new and current crafting adventures!

Tiffany!  I just don't know what to say about her.  She is amazing and is never allowed to leave the Torendi team! ;)  She is our Design Team Coordinator and SOOO much more! I love her style, personality, everything and I am so lucky to have her helping me with all the Torendi decision making.  I'm also thrilled she will be moving SOOO close to Torendi SOON! :D 

Ok, and now for the new girls!  Be sure to leave them so love and let them know we are so excited to have them joining our team!  The "officially" start in October but you may see some Torendi things from them sooner. :D

Originally from Northern California, I made my way east to attend graduate school and have called NY my home for the past 10 years. Along with my beautiful dog Sara, and 2 rescued-from-a-basement cats, I live on the boys corridor of a boarding school just north of NYC. By day I'm a math teacher, but by night I'm all things paper and stamps. Papercrafting has been my go-to hobby the past 6 years, and I stumbled into stamping just about 2 years ago. Most of my projects fall into the clean & graphic category with a bit of cute throw in for fun - although I wish I was a bit more distressed and grungy at times.

Has It Been 6 Months Already??

Wow, time flies! I can't believe I have been surrounded by the talent of the Torendi DT for 6 months already.  Sadly, Heidi has decided to step down from our design team and her scrapbooking talents are surely going to be missed.  Every one of her layouts are truly amazing.  That being said, she will have one last layout early next week, but currently has a Torendi giveaway on her blog! Please go and let her know how much you have enjoyed her Torendi creations and wish her luck on all future blogging adventures!

I was blown away by this creation for the Torendi DT tryouts! Love the Sushi! 

EEK! She used this little tomato feltie perfectly.  This veggie layout makes me smile like Mr. Tomato! You can find him in the "Fresh Mix" Kit

The cassette tape put this layout over the top for me! So creative! This was made from the "Framed Cuteness" kit

LOVE that she "recycled" scraps from all our kits for this layout! Brilliant!

DT Recap!

Fridays are now dedicated to the fabulous Torendi DT! I truly hope you followed our Earth Day Blog hop last month, because those projects just blew me away! Here are a couple more fun projects from the DT.

"A Taste of Torendi" Cards

My small but BIG on STYLE DT has been sending me projects galore made with their September 2009 Kits. They each picked different Bam Pop! stamps to go in their kits, so it's fun that the projects are so different.

Tiffany picked the letter R stamps and came up with this AWESOME card!

Maren picked the letter M stamp and used that cute little monster with some added boyfriend chipboard (I am SERIOUSLY LOVING the boyfriend chipboard, it ROCKS).

I can't wait to show you more! Tiffany made a card using this OPP Tape that is sooo cute!

Our First Torendi Setter, MAREN!

Hi! My name is Maren Benedict. I live in WA state with my husband and three boys (13, 8 & 5). I started stamping about 2 1/2 years ago when a friend 'made' me join a stamp club. After a few months and finding SCS, I was hooked! It was the perfect way to play with all the girly things in my testosterone filled home! I was thrilled when Jenn asked me to be a Torendi Setter. The products are just that, super trendy, so fresh, fun and different from the typical stuff out there. :)

Some SUPER TORENDI cards Maren made using the September 2009 kit and some other fun Bam Pop items and Cosmo Cricket Paper.

This card is all from the September kit. With our first kit you get to choose between the monster M stamp seen here or a Rad R stamp.

Who doesn't love disco dancing robots?!?! The card uses Cosmo Cricket the Boyfriend paper, Bam Pop! Volume 3 paper pack and chipboard, and AC Flair. Love the stitching Maren!

ok, there are just not enough hours in the day, especially when at DISNEYLAND! My plan is to blog again today when the girls nap, lets see if it happens! I have the blinkie giveaway to do! :D I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend.

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I'm the Torendi Design Team Extraordinaire!

How we met:

Jenn and I met the usual stamper's way, through various forums over on Splitcoaststampers.com, and we've gotten to know each other more and more through The Etsy Inspired Challenge! Jenn always struck me as an "ideas person". She always comes up with brilliant solutions and ideas for my everyday crafting woes! I wish her brain could be on loan, because I'd be the first to sign up!

How Torendi came to be for ME:

When she tossed around the idea for Torendi, I told her, "SIGN ME UP!" I've been behind her business venture 100% ever since! I love being on the creative side, as I'm not sure I have the nerves of steel that Jenn obviously has!

What you can expect from me:

I can't wait to work with this awesome product! It's different, it's fun, it's trendy, and one-of-a-kind! And, I look forward to being able to shape the creative identity of Torendi. I've been stalking everyone's blog for potential "Toredi Setters". So stalk your inboxes!!! We're looking for Fresh, Modern, Fun, and Unique designers to help us PIMP our products :)
