Customer Project Day!

I saw this card on Amy's blog Thursday morning and had to email her right away asking if we could feature it!  I am a huge fan of the Cosmo Cricket the Boyfriend line and LOVE this card.  She used the boyfriend mini deck, as well as the Ready Set Chipboard! Both of which are on SALE in the store! It truly does make me get happy!

Amy also had this Torendi project on her blog when she was talking about going to Winter CHA with the Torendi girls.  Did you miss that adventure, CLICK HERE, to read more!

Our little kawaii candy rub-on is a simple way to make an adorable gift for anyone!

Thanks so much for sharing AMY

Has It Been 6 Months Already??

Wow, time flies! I can't believe I have been surrounded by the talent of the Torendi DT for 6 months already.  Sadly, Heidi has decided to step down from our design team and her scrapbooking talents are surely going to be missed.  Every one of her layouts are truly amazing.  That being said, she will have one last layout early next week, but currently has a Torendi giveaway on her blog! Please go and let her know how much you have enjoyed her Torendi creations and wish her luck on all future blogging adventures!

Here is a look back on some of my favorite creations from Heidi.

I was blown away by this creation for the Torendi DT tryouts! Love the Sushi!

EEK! She used this little tomato feltie perfectly.  This veggie layout makes me smile like Mr. Tomato! You can find him in the "Fresh Mix" Kit

The cassette tape put this layout over the top for me! So creative! This was made from the "Framed Cuteness" kit

LOVE that she "recycled" scraps from all our kits for this layout! Brilliant!

Thank you Heidi! You will be missed!

Design Team Round-up Time!

Hello Blogosphere!

Every Friday Torendi brings you one-stop inspiration from the Design Team!

First up is the amazing BR-T:
BR-T used some SUPER cool Bam-Pop product, the Bam Pop Volume 3 Collection and the Ninguin Stamps! Personally, the Ninguin Stamps are my go-to stamps for all little boys' birthday cards! Oh, and I Spy some Torendi Rub-ons, the Kawaii Phrases. If you'd like to learn more about the rub-ons Jenn has an excellent video tutorial exploring the endless possibilities of the vinyl rub-ons HERE.

Next up, is the very fab VERY BRAVE Jenn! She's decided to make some layouts for us:
Jenn's use of the Fresh Mix Kit, featuring Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety, really livens up the typial baby girl layout. The bold colors give it a playful vintaged look! The felties that come in the kit are ALMOST as cute as Jenn's Baby Girl ;)

Isn't this fun? Jenn used some Sassafras Lass Apple Jack papers to make a fun Sweet 16 card! You could totally CASE this card and replace the chipboard key for a real key, smack "26" in thickers on there, and send it to me for my birthday ;)

Next up, is the ever-so-wonderful and VIBRANT Kelly:
Kelly used Sassafras Lass's Nerdy Bird Stickers and 6x6 papers to create this fun Happy Birthday Card! I love the pinked cloudy sticker, it's uber adorable!

Don't forget this week's Torendi Deal of the Week:
Buzz and Bloom's, On Cloud Nine, is on sale for $4!!!!! There are EXTREMELY limited quantities. It's officially endangered, so get em while they're hot! Check out this post for a short tutorial!

Torendi Item of the Week: On Cloud Nine from Buzz and Bloom!

Hello Blogosphere! Our Torendi Item of the Week is another fun embellishment from Buzz and Bloom, the On Cloud Nine denim clouds, just $4!

I thought I'd take the time today to show you some fun ways to use the Buzz and Bloom On Cloud Nine denim clouds. Each denim cloud has a cool laser etched design on them! For this short tutorial you'll see how easy it is to stitch around the perimeter of the cloud:

Stitching around the cloud:

1. Using 4 strands of embroidery floss (I've removed 2 strands), thread your needle and sew a simple stitch while being careful not to "lose" the tail of the thread.

2. When you've finished, trim the ends and apply a little adhesive to keep the ends in place.

3. Here is the cloud completed! I added a little stitched "x" in the bottom corner!

You are RAD!

Hello again it's the 15th and that means another fun showcase of one of  Torendi's awesome products! I held on to these little gems til last because they are so great!  I didn't want to rush into anything, I had to really mull it over LOL! So what is it you ask? It's Bam Pop ! Volume 3 Collection, I am telling you these papers are so unique and fun! I created two projects inspired by my children. The first is a layout of my daughter sleeping, the poor dear wasn't too impressed with the flash going off at 2 a.m.

I used partial sheets that being the Checkered  and Unicorns I affixed the unicorns to another sheet of card stock before cutting them out and then popped them onto the page for various depths. I couldn't resist using that Humania Clip or the tangerine Chit Chat Thickers to finish this page.

OKthis next project was so easy to make but it's my pride and joy! Oscar came home with this zany  yellow paper mask paper and I just knew what was to be done...seriously it was meant to be. I have never had the inclination to alter a photo frame until that day here is the super Rad frame:

Isn't this fun? I simply lay my frame down on the back of the paper and traced the inner and outer edges cut it out and busted out the Mod Podge! The U R letter was the same steps and again the Humania Clip just found its way onto the frame. Once again I colored the mask with a yellow Prismacolor marker it really pops off his face. I apologize if I seem too boastful I am just really excited about this! Well I hope you enjoyed your stay as much as I enjoyed having you! Now go get that paper! Beth

Design Team Round-up Time!

Every week, we will feature the DT's latest and greatest!

Here's a stunning, jaw-droppingly, supah dupah cute, teacup from Kelly! She was going for the Alice In Wonderland feel:

Kelly used the Color By Number Kit with a cool template. Visit her blog for full details! I love this project!

Here are some Clean and Striking creations that I created this week using Torendi goodies:

This card uses Splitcoaststampers.com sketch, SC280, and those really awesome Nerdy Bird Papers! I love taking an ultra-complicated to me sketch and making it CAS and tiffy-fied!

This altered gift bag uses the item of the week, the Happy Friends OPP tape! It's 50% off! Tape is ALL THE RAGE right now, so why not give it a whirl at a great discounted price? It's $3.50 for 16 yards! You can't beat that :) The papers are from The Color By Number and Modern Red Kits.

What will the DT think of next week? Stay tuned!

Torendi Item of the Week!

The Torendi Item of the Week is our Happy Friends OPP Tape! One week only $3.50!

We know that tape is becoming all the rage in paper crafting trends (well we had a feeling months ago, that's why we imported it for you) so here is your chance to try it out at an amazing price! Don't miss out!

In case you need some inspiration, here are some great examples on how to use the tape from our DT!

On this first card by Tiff,  the tape is applied directly to the cardstock,  you can see it is slightly see-thru. If you want it to stand out more, apply it to white paper first, like on the two cards below from Tiff and Kelly.

We would love to see your creative ways of using our OPP TAPE

Upcycled Gift Packaging!!!

I made a recent purchase from Cheryl (MissMakesAlot) from her Etsy Shop and she sent me my items in the COOLEST most INVENTIVE upcycled packaging! The mail pack was handsewn recycled paper and the packaging was an upcycled beachmat, trimmed and repurposed! IT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER! So, I KNEW I had to reuse it! Beach mats like these are SUPER cheap right now. Target has the large ones in their $1 Spot Section.

I used some super cool Torendi elements!!!! See that cool laquered "b" monogram in the corner? That's the newest Fat Albert alphabet from Buzz and Bloom. AND, the fabric is from the latest Torendi Kit, Color By Number.
