Sadly, the store is now closed. It was hard to push the button to take it all down this morning but I know it's what I need to do right now. Thank you so much to all the loyal customers, blog followers and supporters of Torendi. I was always so thrilled when a new order would show up in my email box and over the top for international shoppers as well. Of course I couldn't have done it with out the help of all the amazing Torendi Design Team members! Please go to their blogs and become followers if you haven't already. It would be a shame for any of their talents to go unnoticed!

Amy's "Good Luck" card suits today perfectly! Her use of the Sassafras Lass Indie Girl line is superb! She's even being featured on Moxie Fab World today!

Today, the Torendi Setters (design team) say good-bye to Torendi as Jenn embarks on new adventures! The store's 20% off sale will remain until Monday. She has an Etsy shop which will house the remaining Torendi items called Double N Designs.

Courtney's cards always amaze me! I could spot one of her cards from a mile away! This "good-bye November" card is a sweet note to end our Torendi journey on. She used Pink Paislee's Old School Papers and Sassafras Lass's Vintage Brooch!

Here's a fun card from Jenn. She used Torendi's exclusive Kawaii Rub-ons from EAD Designs to make this fun-loving card! The plum washi tape and the foam thickers are a fun accent. I think these Kawaii Rub-ons would be a hit on teen Valentine's Day cards, don't you?

Here's one of my favorite Torendi projects! I used a Pink Paislee adornment frame to create this wall decor. It's perfect for Valentine's Day! Check out my tutorial HERE!

Torendi is Closing! 20% off!

I am sad to announce that Torendi will be closing on Friday January 21st (that gives you 2 weeks to shop). Due to some unforeseen family circumstances it's just something that had to be done. I'm so glad I got the experience to run Torendi and wish I could continue to do it forever. BIG BIG thanks to all of our supporting customers, blog followers, and design teams members. I couldn't have done it without you and I will be forever grateful.

With that being said all items in the store will be 20% of with coupon code: moving

Why moving? Well, I am going to try to slowly add Torendi items over to Etsy. It won't be the same as Torendi and it won't have all the items Torendi has now but it will be something if you still need your imported crafting fix! I would suggest stocking up now during the 20% off sale and paying the flat rate shipping fees if you have a big order! Some items will be marked up higher on Etsy to cover the fees they charge.

Time to see what the ultra hip Torendi DT has been up to this week!

Amy placed this adorable santa on top for some Sassafras Indie Girl Paper. I love the way it made Santa's suit POP and of course the hearts are perfect, cause we all love Santa!

Courtney put this card together using all scraps from other projects! WOW, I would have never known! She used so many Torendi items on this card...Sassafras Garden Bits, In A Stitch Blooms, Paper Whimsies and Washi Tape!

Tiff is of course traveling across the country to her new home but I managed to steal this little sneak peek of her dirty dozen projects off her blog! I spy some Little Three Pigs stamps in there! Be sure to check out all the guest designers on Tiff's blog too!

Jenn (that's me!) had two cards to share this week. The first card uses some plaid paper in the Pink Paislee Old School line and Sassafras Glitter Alphas.

Here's something fun for your Halloween Table Setting or a lonesome windowsill:

I created this fun little pumpkin decoration using various washi tapes (30mm Kraft Log, Black, and Purple Gingham), wooden skewers, Cosmo Cricket Lavender Bling Chipboard, and some fun Echo Park Happy Halloween papers! If you attempt to make these at home, I highly recommend hot glueing the rosette into place! I used an adhesive called Scrap Dots that worked, but hot glue is the best!

This is a work of art Jenn created for a craft show at her local coffee shop! How cool is that!? She used Bam Pop's H is for Halloween and various washi tapes! I love how it looks like a french memo board!

Amy created this ULTRA fun card and titled it "The Sassy Nerd" as it combines some pretty rad Sassafras Lass Nerdy Bird journal tags! Amy added patterned paper to the sticky side of the scalloped border so that when you open the card you can still see the coolness!

I must warn you... Jenn's video that she made for E.A.D. Designs is SUPAH cute! She always wears the coolest hat :) Here is a glimpse at what she makes in the video! Do recognize the wooden stamp set box? It's a Shinzi Katoh stamp set box that she's dressed up with some Copic Tria markers and E.A.D. Designs Stickerz! Check out the giveaway and video HERE!

Courtney created this owl fun-filled card using owls die cut from some Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious paper! Isn't her design AWESOME! Do add some feminine frill she added a sweet Sassafras Lass Garden Bits chipboard flower!

For my card, I dug into some older Torendi Kits, like the Fresh Mix Kit, and took out this awesome Cosmo Cricket paper that is PERFECT for Christmas! The little clothespin is also from the kit and makes the perfect accent! I've fallen in love with incorporating embroidery on my creations and you can see that I'm embroidered the silhouette of the couples!

Friday DT Round-up and A Farewell!

Today, we bid farewell to our last original Torendi Setter...

It wasn't too long ago when Torendi held its first and last Design Team Competition and Beth's out-of-the-box and unique approach to paper crafting caught our eye!

It is especially sad for me to say farewell to Beth because she is one of the first crafters I ever followed! So, we've said good-bye to our original 3: Heidi, Kelly, and now Beth :(

Of course, we aren't really saying good-bye to any of our original Torendi Setters, Beth will continue to inspire and challenge us daily on her blog as do the other original Torendi Setters!

Good Morning Blogosphere!!!

Fall is upon us and it's time to bring out all things knit and houndstooth, jewel toned and warm toned, and say good-bye to those long summer days!

I have a confession to make, Jenn shared this card with me some time ago and I fell in LOVE!!!! Don't you love the squirrel trailing across the tops of the letters!!!!? How about those pieced trees!!!? She used Sassafrass Glitter Alphas and Cosmo Cricket Matilda Paper.

During Autumn, we find ourselves baking and cooking more and more in preparation for the holidays! Here is a fun Coffee Lovers Take-out Gift Box that I made! Pack it with homemade biscotti or chocolate covered coffee beans (yum)! I used various washi tapes and the Bread and Milk Stamps.

Jenn made this card to celebrate former Torendi Setter's Kelly-Marie's 30th Birthday!

Speaking of baking...check out these fun cards Jenn made using the Bam Pop! abc collection y stamp set! She also incorporated some Kawaii rub-ons. It doesn't get any better than smiling treats, lol!

Customer Project Day!

Today's customer projects are all made with Torendi kits!

Angela used our Color by Number kit for this adorable card. I love what she did with the fabric from the kit. She even added some Rust washi tape! Can't go wrong there!

She also posted this mini album to her facebook page. The chipboard is Cosmo Cricket Material Girl from out Paris in Bloom kit! I think the layout on this is perfection!

Michelle sent us two fun projects using one of our sold out kits. Everyone needs a pen holder! I like how she added the strip of coordinating paper to accent the felt bird house!

Awe, a gift for her sister...how sweet! :)

Any fun weekend plans? I plan on rebooting, lol! After tons of deadlines and being sick I just need a weekend to reboot, so I'll be spending my days in the digital scrapbooking realm (gasp!).

I have been honored to work with Kelly, Beth and Tiffany for so many amazing months. They have all been wonderful additions to the Torendi Team.

Kelly has been so busy with Lawn Fawn (GO KELLY) that she stepped down from the team a month early. We are so happy for her and her adorable stamp line. If you haven't seen them, you should check them out for sure! We will miss your fabulous style Kelly.

Beth will still be a Torendi girl until October, WOO HOO! She has such an amazing way with paper, it is no wonder she has been picked up for so many more design teams! We wish Beth the best of luck in all her new and current crafting adventures!

Tiffany! I just don't know what to say about her. She is amazing and is never allowed to leave the Torendi team! ;) She is our Design Team Coordinator and SOOO much more! I love her style, personality, everything and I am so lucky to have her helping me with all the Torendi decision making. I'm also thrilled she will be moving SOOO close to Torendi SOON! :D

Originally from Northern California, I made my way east to attend graduate school and have called NY my home for the past 10 years. Along with my beautiful dog Sara, and 2 rescued-from-a-basement cats, I live on the boys corridor of a boarding school just north of NYC. By day I'm a math teacher, but by night I'm all things paper and stamps. Papercrafting has been my go-to hobby the past 6 years, and I stumbled into stamping just about 2 years ago. I just wanted to say thank you to all the amazingly talented ladies that have sent in a submission for our Design Team call! WOW! This is going to be rough! Amy has me grinning from ear to ear with this kawaii card. She used the Torendi "A Kawaii Day" rub-ons, love that you can paper piece with them!

The colors and layout of this card by Angela are amazing! The Rust washi tape frame, the scrunched up ribbon, the fun mushrooms, I just love it all!

Amy may have calmed my fear of clowns with this card! ;) It's so fun and colorful! She used some Sassafras Apple Jack Paper which is sold out but we still have the same fun images on the Apple Jack Sweet Treats.

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! TGIF!!!

Any fun weekend plans?

I have SCHOOL work to do, so nothing too snazzy! And, I must conquer Mount Washmore ;)

I made these cards for the Lawn Fawn Heart Cards for Kids drive:

I thought Bam Pop's "J Alphabet" stamp set (50% off) was perfect for Zach, who loves video games! Read more details here!

This is my ode to yo gabba gabba ;) Gavin is the same age as my sons, CJ and Liam, so I knew he'd love a big furry friendly monster! This is made with Bam Pop's "M Alphabet" stamp set. I also used the American Crafts Chit-Chat thickers (50% off). Oh and that fun paper and sticker is from Sassafrass Lass's Nerdy Bird Line! The stickers are only $1 now!

I made cards similar to this one for 3 other children. I adore that Kodomo No Kao Bicycle Stamp!!!! I just love personalizing cards! Read more details here!

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend!

Amy is a card making machine. There is always something new and exciting on her blog. She left this cutie on our Facebook page. It uses the new Sassafras Indie Girl Line!

Angela is back at it again with the rust washi tape but this time paired it up with some Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride paper and chipboard. CA...UTE!! I know I would love to get such a cheerful card in the mail!

Michelle made up this woodland flair card using some of our Shinzi Katoh linen tape. She paired it up with some adorable mushroom images for the perfect combo!

Here is a sweet card by Rinne using some Sold Out Buzz and Bloom Clouds. (The prefect example of how you need to shop fast on all imported items at Torendi. We only carry about 3 of each imported item). Ahh, this card makes me want to relax and enjoy the waves at the beach.

I used the brand new Sassafras Lass Glitter Alphas, the Kraft Log Tape, and some fun washi tape! I love any and all things camera related!

This card used generational stamping to create a fun pattern with the cameras.

You can do this with any stamp to achieve a fun, modern, graphic look!

And of course I used some washi tapes!

Who's ready for some Torendi Customer Love?!

Courtney is fairly new to Torendi but she is fitting right in perfectly! Look how cute her card is! She used some of our new Polka Dot Washi Tape, Earth Love Chipboard (half off) and Material girl paper (sold out). The embossed paper really puts this card over the top!

De made this "oh so adorable" paper hat out of our "Paris in Bloom" kit (half off). I wonder if she wears it when she sews. I know I would! PARTY! I also love the flower "pom pom".

Angela also used some of our new Washi Tape. She used the Old Text Tape in Rust to really set off the colors in her card. It's is such a calming and peaceful card. Beautifully done!

Stepping away from the cards, we have a breath taking layout from Nicole using the new Indie Girl Flag Banners! All I can say is this is jaw dropping, ooooh la la!

How cute is this!!?? A perfect CAS card by Courtney If you read her blog, this card is all about her fun day of shopping in NY! . Courtney was smart and acted fast during our 50% off sale (still going on) and picked up the last NY Stamp (we still have Paris and Today) set we had. I have been playing DJ hero for Wii lately, so this hip card is right up my alley! Corinne mixed fun images with some 8 Bit Pop Paper. The color combo is perfect!

I adore the Red Riding Hood postcard that came in the Modern Red Kit (my fave kit)! All I did was cut out the house image, attach the two clothespins (from the Fresh Mix Kit), and pop it up on the card with foam tape! The paper is also from the Fresh Mix Kit. The fun little banner is from the Paris in Bloom Kit. I just love using up my leftover kit contents to make fun cards! Check out the kits here!

Now, I'm off to enjoy a Rays v Yankees Baseball game, a date night movie night with the hubs, Memaw's Alaskan Fish Tacos in YBor city, Busch Gardens, and our favorite sandwich place, Brocato's!
